If you didn't read the above, then steampunk (in decorating terms) can also be referred to as old world Victorian vintage style mixed with retro futuristic decor. They often include natural materials - antiqued brass, copper and metal, and often things like leather and lace, gears and watch parts and exposed copper plumbing.
