DEMONS AT GENERAL MEDICAL COUNCIL

You could be forgiven for thinking that General Medical Council expects interests of patients, public and science to stand together against superstition, prejudice and malice.

At present anybody can be elected to judge good doctors even if they believe that demons cause epilepsy, have appaling attitudes towards mentally ill or practise praying on their patients in NHS practice. If doctor happens to be an atheist, quite simply there is no hope for such a doctor if judged by a religiously biased panel.

Praying does not work for patients. If it did why did we study so hard and why did tax payers had to pay so much for our training to become doctors?
