When a black man in America, elected to public office in the year 2012, calls social security "A form of modern, 21st century slavery", we just might have a problem.
"Congressman Allen West appeared on Fox & Friends today to discuss America’s waning freedoms and how to reclaim them. One such example he offered was Social Security, and given how more people went on Social Security disability last month than new jobs that were created, West said this was creating an “economic dependence” which he classified as “a form of modern, 21st-century slavery."
I wonder how exactly Mr. West would have us "reclaim" our "waning" freedoms?
Does he think electing Mitt Romney as our president will make us freer?
I wonder how that worked out for the people of Massachusetts when he was their governor and they were one of the worse states in job creation?
West says that Obama would rather us be his slaves, and that he is purposely creating a welfare entitlement state to make us dependant on him. That is such a ludicrous and farcical statement that I am afraid to even respond to it for fear of folks believing that I am just as crazy for even acknowledging it.
"Host Dave Briggs brought up recent comments West made exactly one week ago about President Obama, namely that the president would “rather you be his slave.”
West stood by the language he used, saying he shouldn’t have to apologize for stating the truth. He argued that the president and Democrats in Congress are creating a “welfare entitlement class” and pit them against the “production class.” [Source]
Yes, this Allen West dude is kind of scary. Still, I suspect, that like his boy- and fellow tea party wingnut- Joe Walsh, he won't be around much longer in Washington. Even wingnut republican voters can't be dumb enough to send guys like this back to Washington.
Finally, I read an interesting article over at The Grio from a sister who has some issues with spanking.
"I am an extremely vocal opponent of corporal punishment as a casual form of discipline. Not because I particularly care about what happens in the households of others, but because there has been such extensive research proving myriad negative effects on the evolving psyches of children when their parents hit them, that I cannot, in good conscious, buy into the propaganda that “it’s good for them.”
Yes, hit. Not “spank.” Hit, and for the purpose of this article, we’re going to call a spade a spade.
When the results of a recent study hit the Internet revealing that hitting children as a form of discipline – no matter how rarely it may occur — increases their chances of developing mental illness, I posted it on my Facebook page without any commentary. " [Read here]
Well Kirsten, you might get a comment or two here.

Race traitors and voter fraud.
I see that the former New York city police officer who pumped 50 bullets into the body of an unarmed man after his bachelor party has no regrets for his actions.
"I’m not looking back, no apologies, no regrets,” he told NBC New York in an exclusive interview. “I came to grips with what I did. I am able to sleep at night. I am here talking to you.”
Isnora and three other undercover cops fired 50 shots at Bell and his three friends who were leaving Bell’s bachelor party the night of November 16th. The groom-to-be died of his wounds. It was the night before his wedding.
Isnora maintains he heard one of Bells’s friend, Joseph Guzman, say “Go get my gun,” after the bachelor party was involved in an altercation with another man, Fabio Coicou. Isnora said he believed the men were going to their vehicle to retrieve a gun.
After the driver of the car rammed itself into a police van, Isnora thought he saw Guzman reach for a gun and began to fire.
In fact, all of the men were unarmed.
“I was fed to the wolves if, you know, you wanna use that,” Isnora told NBC of his firing. “That’s exactly what the Commissioner and the Mayor did.” [Source]
"Fed to the wolves"? N*^^%r please! I am so sick of these "Bagawire" type Negroes. Your ass should be rotting in a jail cell right now. You are lucky that you only lost your pension and not your freedom.
Staying with the slave catcher theme. (Now I know how my hommie, Marcus Garvey, must have felt back in the day) I am still waiting for one of his republican colleagues to condemn the statements made by slave catcher in chef, *Allen West , recently. Allen, calling your colleagues in the house Communists and doubling down on your statement is not how an elected member of congress should conduct himself.
But we are used to these things from Mr. West. A man who is looking more and more like a modern day minstrel every day. Dan Emmett would be proud of him; just like his republican supporters are now. My man actually raised some extra cash because of his outrageous statements. Yes folks, people actually sent their hard earned cash to support a man who made the claim that Communists are infiltrating the government.
Mr. West wants some of us to get the hell out of the USA. But why would we want to leave when we can be entertained by his constant jigging free of charge?
Finally, it seems that those "left wing crazies" and ACORN folks aren't the only ones capable of committing voter fraud:
"More than a year since a state district judge ruled 10 Montgomery County residents voted fraudulently in a Woodlands election, a grand jury last week indicted seven of those individuals for illegal voting. The indictments stem from the May 8, 2010, election of The Woodlands Road Utility District No. 1. Ten individuals listed their voter registration address as that of a hotel in order to take control of the RUD board.
Maybe it's time for a new campaign slogan: Voter fraud, it's not just for the left anymore.

Former Montgomery County Judge candidate Adrian Heath heads the list of people charged with the third-degree felony. Heath declined comment, saying he was looking into hiring an attorney. [...]Heath is also a tea party activist, and (this is perfect) judicial candidate. The group decided that they were afraid that someday the Woodlands Road Utility District would decide to start taxing residents of the area, instead of just commercial businesses, so he engineered an electoral coup, and a conspiracy to commit voter fraud." According to indictments released by the Texas Attorney General’s Office, the defendants voted in an election they knew they were not eligible to vote.

Debt feelings.
"I need your help. I can't tell you what it is, you can never ask me about it later, and we're gonna hurt some people.
...Whose car we takin'?"
That was Ben Aflleck's character, Dougie MacRay, trying to get his boy to accompany him on a beat down in the movie, "The Town".
It's also the line from the movie that republicans met and chose to watch in order to rally around each other for this debt ceiling debate. Nice. It's apropos, seeing that it is a movie about a bank robbery, and these clowns are holding up A-merry-ca.
Anyway, like a good Negro, my man Allen West volunteered to drive the car. (Because that's what good Negroes do.)
"After showing the clip, Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.), one of the most outspoken critics of leadership among the 87 freshmen, stood up to speak, according to GOP aides.“I’m ready to drive the car,” West replied, surprising many Republicans by giving his full -throated support for the plan."
I'm ready to drive the car, massa. *shaking head*. What is wrong with these Negroes like Star Parker? (h/t to Carlos for this story)
BTW, I have been getting a lot of e-mails about this valedictorian case in Arkansas. And, believe me, it has my racism antenna's up. But could someone tell me if the principal, Derrell Thompson, is a brotha? If he is, he should be jigging right along with Star and Allen. Sometimes your own people can be so much worse than "the man". Mental slavery is a b*&^h.
Speaking of slaves, I bet that the folks in the top 5% income category of this country wishes that we were all their slaves.
Now it's that phony ass preacher, Rick Warren, telling us that half of America pays no taxes. (A lie! I think he meant income taxes, but that's not the point.) The point is that this rich ass phony has joined the rest of the "let them eat cake" crowd by trying to parrot a well used wingnut line.
"HALF of America pays NO taxes. Zero,” Warren wrote. “So they’re happy for tax rates to be raised on the other half that DOES pay taxes.”
The post was interpreted by the popular blog “Wonkette” as a dig against Americans whose incomes do not qualify them to pay taxes.
The post has since been removed from Warren’s Twitter feed, and he acknowledged that the tweet "did sound mean" in a subsequent tweet addressed to a blogger who wrote had written a lengthy response."
Folks, make no mistake, this is what this debate is about in Washington. It's why the wingnuts will not budge on their debt ceiling position. They do not want to raise taxes on their wealthy friends.
Meanwhile, GE just decided to send even more jobs to China. The same GE that paid ZERO taxes last year. How ironic that O actually tapped the head of GE to be one of his job creation experts. He is creating jobs alright; just not in this country.
O, when will you learn; stop pandering to these people. I know you wanted to seem like a centrist by dancing with this man, (Jeffrey Immelt) but it won't work. This man, and people like him, only care about lining their own pockets and the company bottom line.
Finally, ( I know I am all over the place tonight, but this debt ceiling crap has me pissed) yet another example of do as I say but not as I do from Washington:
"Like many members of Congress, Rep. Michele Bachmann has been a fierce critic of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, blaming the government-backed loan programs for excesses that helped create the financial meltdown in 2008.
And like millions of other home purchasers, Bachmann took out a home loan in 2008 that offered lower costs to the borrower through one of the federally subsidized programs, according to mortgage experts who reviewed her loan documents.
Just a few weeks before Bachmann called for dismantling the programs during a House Financial Services Committee hearing, she and her husband signed for a $417,000 home loan to help finance their move to a 5,200-square-foot golf-course home, public records show. Experts who examined the loan documents for The Washington Post say that they are confident the loan was backed by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac.
Seeing problems with the programs — especially the high costs to taxpayers — hasn’t stopped a concerned public or other members of Congress from taking advantage of the lower interest rates that come due to government backing.
Bachmann has been the most outspoken critic of the loan programs and other government subsidies among Republican presidential candidates. Former Minnesota governor Tim Pawlenty also has called for dismantling Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Experts who reviewed his mortgage documents said that there was no way to tell whether his home loan from 1994 had government backing." [Source]
I think I will head on out to Home Depot to buy a pitch fork.

"WHITE POWDER FOUND AT REP. ALLEN WEST'S OFFICE NOT ANTHRAX"
"BOCA RATON, Fla. — Authorities said a letter found containing white powder sent to a Florida congressman is not anthrax.
Boca Raton Fire Rescue spokesman Frank Correggio says no dangerous substance was found at the office of Republican Allen West on Friday.
West’s chief of staff says the letter contained derogatory comments about the politician and contained the word anthrax. He says the letter was opened by a campaign staffer.
West is a freshman congressman and tea party favorite who swept incumbent Rep. Ron Klein from office. West was in Washington when the letter was opened. West released a statement saying he is deeply disturbed by the incident." [Source]
Whoops, my bad; I think I used the wrong image with this post.
Sorry Mr. West, I meant no disrespect.
