Irish Water Spaniel Dog: Stunning. Sweetest Hypoallergenic Friday

OK, an Irish Water Spaniel is a glorious dog. the Calendar has this picture:

and an Irish Water Spaniel Puppy:

looks a little like howard stern, but better looking.

"The colour is liver/puce and has a very definite purple hue unlike the colour of any other known breed...IWS have several distinguishing characteristics which place them among the more unique of all breeds: The topknot of long, loose curls growing down from the head which often covers the eyes; a "beard" growing at the back of the throat often accompanied by "sideburns"; and a curled, liver ("puce")-colored coat. The most distinguishing characteristic of these dogs is the smooth "rat tail", completely free of long coat except at the base where it is covered for 2-3 inches with curls. The face is entirely smooth-coated and, unlike the poodle, should require little or no trimming to stay that way. An IWS is ruggedly built with webbed feet to aid in its powerful swimming. Altogether, the IWS presents a picture of a smart, upstanding, strongly built but not leggy dog, combining great intelligence and rugged endurance with a bold, dashing eagerness of temperament.
They are the largest of the Spaniel group. Dogs range in height from 22 to 24 inches (56–61 cm), and weigh 55 to 65 pounds (25–30 kg). As their name would imply these dogs love water."

Tearjerker Story of Dog Who Found His Way Home After Tornado

Ok, you can cry more HERE.
This story is about a dog crawling with broken legs! Finding his way home...
"If a tornado picked you up, threw you across the sky, and set you down in an unfamiliar place far away from home, and you broke two legs in the process, could you find your way back? That’s exactly the incredible story of Mason, a terrier mix in Alabama.
“On [Wednesday] April 27th,” WBRC-TV reports, “Mason was hiding in his garage in North Smithfield when the storm picked him up and blew him away. His owners couldn’t find him and had about given up when they came back Monday to sift through the debris, and found Mason waiting for them on the porch.”

But Mason didn’t just find his way home. Because of the severity of his injuries, he couldn’t even walk. He had to crawl home:

“He‘s got 2 broken legs and they’re distal radial ulnal fractures, they’ve not been able to be in alignment so neither one of them have healed so he had to crawl on 2 broken legs to get home,” said Dr. Barbara Benhart, staff veterinarian at the Birmingham-Jefferson Co. Animal Control Shelter.

“This is probably the most dramatic we‘ve seen as far as an injury in an animal that’s survived this long,” said Phil Doster, also with the shelter. “It’s kind of tapering off, the amount of animals we’re seeing because of the storm. For an animal just to show up on someone’s porch after this time was pretty remarkable, especially with the condition he’s in.”

Irena Sendler: Cleverly Saving Babies During the WW II Holocaust

40,000,001-
Forward.
"Look at this lady - Let us never forget!
(The world hasn't just become wicked...it' s always been wicked. The prize doesn't always go to the most deserving.)
There recently was a death of a 98 year-old lady named Irena. During WWII, Irena, got permission to work in the Warsaw ghetto, as a Plumbing/Sewer specialist.
She had an 'ulterior motive'.
She KNEW what the Nazi's plans were for the Jews (being German).

Irena smuggled infants out in the bottom of the tool box she carried and she carried in the back of her truck a burlap sack, (for larger kids).
She also had a dog in the back that she trained to bark when the Nazi soldiers let her in and out of the ghetto.
The soldiers of course wanted nothing to do with the dog and the barking covered the kids/infants noises.
During her time of doing this, she managed to smuggle out and save 2500 kids/infants.
She was caught, and the Nazi's broke both her legs, arms and beat her severely.
Irena kept a record of the names of all the kids she smuggled out and kept them in a glass jar, buried under a tree in her back yard.

After the war, she tried to locate any parents that may have survived it and reunited the family.
Most had been gassed. Those kids she helped got placed into foster family homes or adopted.
Last year Irena was up for the Nobel Peace Prize.
She was not selected. (Al Gore won that year).
63 years later

In MEMORIAM - 63 YEARS LATER

It is now more than 60 years after the Second World War in Europe ended.

This memorial is being posted as a memorial chain, in memory of the six million Jews, 20 million Russians, 10 million Christians, 50,000 suspected of being homosexual and 1,900 Catholic priests who were murdered, massacred, raped, burned, starved and humiliated.
Now, more than ever, with Iraq , Iran , and others, claiming the HOLOCAUST to be 'a myth'.
It's imperative to make sure the world never forgets, because there are others who would like to do it again.
Join us and be a link in the memorial chain and help us distribute it around the world..
Please send this e-mail to people you know and ask them to continue the memorial chain.
Thanks! "
