A secret trip to Afghanistan and a not so secret trip to Negromerica.

O made a secret -and surprise- trip to Afghanistan and gave a "win one for the Gipper" speech to the troops.  (That sound you hear is wingnut heads exploding. I think he is "spiking the football" in the end zone. )"I could not be prouder of you...there is a light on the horizon because of the sacrifice you have made". Good for you, O. The troops needed a pep talk from their CIC.

Unfortunately, it looks like we will be in Afghanistan for at least two more years. That is not what I wanted to hear. One more day in Afghanistan is one day too much as far as I am concerned, so I will have to jump off the O train when it comes to his Afghan policy.

But enough of all this foreign policy talk. Let's talk about a little national politics.

Did you know that President Obama won the election because he is black?

"He was a historic figure. He’s our first African-American president. The country voted for him because of that. It made us feel good about [our]self. I’ve said it before, it helped that John McCain was about 142 years old. It helped that the economy was tanking. A lot of these things helped. But he never would have gotten there without his historic nature. " [Source]

Yes, because God forbid a black man actually got something on merit.

I love these comments:

" Never happened to the good old days when being black wasn't so cool? I bet they miss slavery, Jim Crowe, the 50's...Good times...Good times...
· 95% of blacks voted AGAINST Jessie Jackson, Al Sharpton, Alan Keyes, Shirley Chisolm, Lenora Fulani, in favor of Carter, Mondale, Kerry, and Gore. Those are the facts....
· So Obama won because he was black ? Is it safe to assume that the 43 white president won because they weren't ?
· I'd rather be elected because I was black; than be elected because I lied about being a dead-beat dad.
· Boehner was only elected speaker of the house because he's orange.
· thought Clinton was the first black President. Obama is the first white black President.
· We elected 1 black guy because he's black ? Why did we elect 43 white men in a row ?
Yes, because every other Black person who's run for President has been extremely successful!
We all fondly look back on the Presidencies of Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Alan Keyes, Carol Moseley Braun, Cynthia McKinney, and Herman Cain, right?
I mean that's all you need to be is Black, right?
Black folks vote for Black folks right? Who cares if John Kerry got 90% of the Black vote in 2004? That must mean he's a secret Black!"

Oh yes, there is that "dead beat" thing. Isn't this the guy who owes his wife over $117,000.00 for child support? Owed field. He settled with her.

Well that explains it. No wonder he is chirping off about O's race. There is nothing like clearing up those child support issues to help you get your voice back.

Anywhoo, I took a trip to Negromerica today, and I have some thoughts:

First, you Negroes need to stop sending your children off to school with soda pop and potato chips. That is not a "breakfast of champions". No wonder your kids can't learn in school.

Second, it's called a child safety seat for a reason. If you have a damn toddler in your car they should be strapped into a child safety seat. Their little bodies need all the protection they can get in case of a sudden impact. This device really doesn't cost that much. I see some of you with handbags that are worth twice as much. Invest a little of that money into your child's safety.

Third, why are there so many satellite dishes? It seems like every other house in Negromerica has a satellite dish. That cannot be a good thing.

Finally, if I ever get elected to city council, the first bill I will introduce will be one limiting the amount of churches and liquor stores within certain areas.
Why? Because driving through Negromerica you would think that all Negroes do is drink and pray.

A new low.

What Newt did today was low even by his lousy standards.

He hastily called a news conference to politicize the deaths of two American soldiers who lost their lives in Afghanistan. Newt used the killing of those poor soldiers to score cheap political brownie points with his base.

Of course, for him, it was a twofer. Bash those evil Mooslims and the Commander in Chief with the evil Mooslim name in one fat swoop. (Pun intended)

" GOP presidential candidate Newt Gingrich said Thursday a U.S. apology to Afghan authorities for burned Qurans on a military base was “astonishing” and undeserved.Gingrich lashed out at President Barack Obama for the formal apology after copies of the Muslim holy book were found burned in a garbage pit on a U.S. air field earlier in the week"

Newt couldn't wait to jump on Obama for apologizing to the Afghans for that inadvertent book burning. There will be more to follow. Mr. Obama, the programmers over at FOX NEWS would like to thank you for giving them some red meat for their voracious viewers.

"The president apologized for the burning, but I haven't seen the president demand that the government of Afghanistan apologize for the killing of two young Americans."

In his rush to be first, Newt forgot that those soldiers were killed after Obama apologized to the President of Afghanistan. I suppose that if Newt or one of his cohorts were running things no apology would be forthcoming. Anger the Afghans even more and put more American lives at risk.

"There seems to be nothing that radical Islamists can do to get Barack Obama's attention in a negative way, and he is consistently apologizing to people who do not deserve the apology of the president of the United States, period," Gingrich said." [Source]

Newt should be apologizing to the families of those two dead soldiers. They will get a phone call from Obama. (If they haven't already) If Newt called, however, I am sure they would just hang up the phone.

Finally, the tape never lies.

If you dumbocrats want to learn how to cheat in politics you might want to start taking notes from your republican friends:

"Yesterday in Wisconsin, a hidden camera caught a certain Republican voter ID law advocate violating the assembly rules to cheat and vote for colleagues who were not present. This is also referred to as vote fraud."

Oh my! You mean to tell me that a republican voter ID law advocate was actually caught cheating, himself? Nooooo! [Source and video tape]

The cheating poli-trickster caught on tape actually looks like he uses Newt's personal trainer. Hey, maybe the guy was just reaching for a donut.

Women in Afghanistan: Women, War and Peace Film from PBS

So Part I of this five part film series was screened at K-state this week. Right before the screening, i was informed about a horrendous case of animal abuse (see previous post) and then, after 30 minutes of watching this film, i actually thought i might have a heart attack, my heart might break or give out from
the insanity, the demonic cruelty, the pain. The inhumanity manifesting everywhere is too much to bear.
The women of afghanistan have endured more than any american woman can comprehend.
we can read about it;
we can watch some film,
but pondering it will blow your mind or break your heart.
After all the persecution they have been through, the current administrations, ours and their corrupt one, are working for "peace" by cutting a deal with the taliban.
The taliban are in the process of assassinating all women who have worked for women's rights over the past 10 years. They put notes on the front door that threaten to burn their daughters and cut their heads off. Then they do it.
I will not repeat the disgusting tortures, the things that are too hard to bear.
Please watch the movie. See if you can bear it.
This IS HAPPENING to the women in Afghanistan Right Now.

Yes watch it all free online. Just do it.

Heroes Among Us

"Insurgents shot down a U.S. military helicopter during fighting in eastern Afghanistan, killing 30 Americans, most of them belonging to the same elite unit as the Navy SEALs who killed al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden, as well as seven Afghan commandos, U.S. officials said Saturday. It what was the deadliest single loss for American forces in the decade-old war against the Taliban."

Breaking "Man Rules".

I can't figure out who is crazier, the wack job pastor who burned the Koran at his church, or the lunatics in Afghanistan and Pakistan who are killing and maiming people because he did it. Maybe we should send the good Pastor to Afghanistan to act as our Ambassador over there. Dope!

Anyway, tonight I want to take a little break from the serious stuff, and ask some of you reading this to give some relationship advice to my man Steve Nash. Steve is a superstar b-ball player in the NBA, and he is....I take that back. He was married to a supermodel. (His first mistake.) Now, apparently, the rumor is that Steve filed for a divorce immediately after seeing his blushing baby boy, Mateo. Well, actually, the next day. I guess he needed some time for the shock to set in.

The following excerpt is from Yardbarker.com. "Here is a quick look at the Steve Nash baby situation before I tell you the new rumors. Steve Nash and his wife had a third baby, Matteo, in November 2010. The next day after the birth, Steve Nash filed for divorce from his wife. Rumors began to swirl that his new baby turned out to be black, which neither Nash or his wife are racially.

Rumors for a couple of month have been that Leandro Barbosa was the father, but that was soon proven false due to Nash posting pictures of Barbosa and him with Barbosa's real kid on Facebook.

Here is the scoop and hot rumor that has begun today. Jason Richardson is now the player in question to be the father of Matteo. Back in December, a month after the birth, Jason Richardson became an ex-teammate of Steve Nash when he was shipped to Orlando in a multi-player deal. Alejandra, Steve Nash's ex-wife, says that the divorce is not from the children and that her and Nash were separated for a couple of months before the birth..." [Source]

This reminds me of another story that came out late last year. Apparently one of LeBron's teammates when he was in Cleveland was doing some one on one drills with his mom, and that was one of the reasons that my man gave the Cavs his tail lights to look at. Oh, and let's not forget that debonair Frenchman, Tony Parker, and his off court work with a teammate's wife.

Now if these stories are true, this is definitely not cool. That is a "man rule" that you just don't break. I mean getting it on with your teammate's wives and mothers? Come on now, all these groupies out here and these guys choose to get their jiggy in house. *shaking head*

I guess I am just old fashion. Even among us regular folks -who aren't high profile athletes- It should be taboo to hit on your friends significant other. Some things you just don't do.

But hey, maybe that saying "all is fair in love and war" is true.

Thoughts?

Steve Brodner's Afghanistan Art Cartoon: Wach this from PBS Need to Know

what an art form!

Watch the full episode. See more Need To Know.

excerpt from PBS's Need to Know: "President Obama barely mentioned Afghanistan in his State of the Union speech this week. He said the words “Afghanistan” and “Afghan” a total of eight times, if you’re counting, including his declaration that American troops will begin leaving Afghanistan this summer — which was a big applause line. As for what we’ll be leaving behind there — editorial cartoonist Steve Brodner has some thoughts."
