Sunday Chill Session @ Fat Spoon

I've been meaning to blog about this little cafe/restaurant that I've been going to for quite some time. This restaurant is called Fat Spoon and it's located in Damansara Utama, or Uptown, the same row as wondermilk and is operated by Chelle and her family. Walking in from the entrance you get a sense of the 'homely' feeling. Unlike Wondermilk, which is also quite 'homely'. Fat spoon took it up a notch and gave the customers a more 'homely' feeling, if that makes sense la. Food varies from traditional malay and chinese cooking. More like nyonya style food. They don't serve pork and all their food are msg free. One of the recommendations of this place is definitely the Nasi Ulam (Fried Rice served with herbs and fried chicken @Rm11.90), Beef Macaroni Soup (Minced Beef and Macaroni served in spicy asian broth @Rm8.90), and the Fat Spoon Hot Chocolate (@Rm8.90). The ambience was good and the crowd can be quite 'indie' and fashionable:)
My friends and I decided to gather at Fat Spoon and had a jolly good time. Taking pictures here and there, eating, smoking as well as playing tap tap revenge on the I-Touch. Do drop by this place to appreciate how traditional malaysian food is made with a modern and homely touch added to it:) Here are pictures from the day:) Enjoy
